01 / A LITTLE MORE SPACEActual Hem interface · Illustrative page content

The internet is full.
Your browser doesn’t
have to be.

One narrow strip. Minimal tabs. An address bar that appears right where you’re already looking.

Hem keeps your everyday essentials close, and gives the rest of the window back to the web.

02 / YOUR COLOR. YOUR SPACE.

THOUGHTFUL, ALL THE WAY THROUGH

A little more
than meets the eye.

Capture the moment.

A whole page. A selected area. One element. Eight screenshot actions, together in one tidy menu.

SAVE OR COPY. KEEP IT MOVING.

Let the web breathe.

Built-in ad and tracker blocking, cosmetic filtering, site exceptions, and your own custom rules.

FEWER DISTRACTIONS, BY DEFAULT.

Make simple powerful.

Add a custom context action to open a page, copy a Markdown link, or run your own page script.

SMALL SCRIPTS. PERSONAL SHORTCUTS.

Your passwords, close.

Hem’s local password vault uses Windows account encryption. Optional Bitwarden and 1Password CLI adapters are experimental.

YOUR CHOICE. NO HEM ACCOUNT.

Find your flow.

Click the active tab to type an address. Press Ctrl + L to select it. Search and navigate without another toolbar.

LESS CHROME. FAMILIAR SHORTCUTS.

Every detail considered.

Custom settings, straight-edged controls, minimal scrollbars, and an interface that stays comfortably out of your way.

QUIET BY DESIGN.

Small print.
Straight answers.

What can I run Hem on?

This preview is a portable Windows x64 application. Extract the complete ZIP and open Hem.exe. Keep all the runtime files together. Linux and Android versions are in development and are not yet offered as public downloads. macOS and iOS builds are not included.

Is this a finished release?

Hem 0.1.0 RC 1 is a release candidate for evaluation. It is currently unsigned while Microsoft publisher validation is pending. Automatic application updates, Chrome extension compatibility, passkeys and default-browser registration are not included. Future browser updates must be installed manually.
